You’ve heard of a rainbow, but have you heard of a moonbow?

Also called a moon rainbow or a lunar rainbow, a moonbow is just what it sounds like, a rainbow created by moonlight instead of sunlight. They are rare and usually can only be viewed close to waterfalls or other locations that have foggy or misty conditions.

Some of the most common sightings take place at Victoria Falls, Niagara Falls, Yosemite National Park, and numerous wet regions in Hawaii. For obvious reasons, moonbows can only be seen at night, usually within a couple hours of sunset or sunrise.

While moonbows are a magnificent optical phenomenon, they are far rarer and dimmer than rainbows, making them harder to observe. This is how it can be trying to find the right position to advance your career.
