Every 29.5 days, the moon completes its lunar phase cycle. This means that in the time frame of less than a month, it wanes to nothing, then waxes to full again. At least, that’s how we see it on Earth. In reality, the moon doesn’t go anywhere. However, we are only able to see the portion of the moon’s surface that reflects the light of the sun.

Even though the moon doesn’t really change, our perspective of it does based on where it is in orbit. Our careers can be like that too sometimes.
