Solar System

Our solar system is gravitationally bound, which is caused by the pull of our sun’s mass. This results in each of the planets circling the sun to have their own, unique orbit. As we all know, it takes the Earth 365 days, or 1 Earth year, to complete this circuit. Each of the other planets requires a different amount of time.

Those closer to the sun, like Mercury and Venus, take less time to fully orbit, while planets that are farther away, like Uranus and Neptune, take far longer. In fact, many humans do not live long enough to experience a full Neptune year, as it requires about 84 Earth years to completely circle the sun.

Something we can take from this is that progress looks different in every situation. While Mercy orbits the sun almost 350 times in the same amount of hours it takes for Neptune to do it once, Mercy is simply treading the same path over and over. However, both are successful in their own way.
