Rings
Four planets in our solar system have rings including Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune, but the most famous is undoubtedly Saturn. These planetary rings are made mostly of ice containing traces of rock. In all, Saturn has eight rings, nine if you include the Cassini Division, a space between Rings A and B, which looks empty but actually contains matter similar to that found in Ring C.
While it is unknown how the rings were created, a popular theory is that one of Saturn’s moons (it currently has 146) fell into a decaying orbit and was eventually ripped apart by the gravitational effect of the planet. Over time, its debris spread into the rings that can be observed through telescopes.
Those of us who are not astronomers usually think about something quite different when rings are mentioned. We tend to connect them to promises, engagements, and weddings! As a recruiter, I sometimes see myself the same way, since what I do is similar to matchmaking.
At the end of the day, CFC’s goal is to find a qualified candidate, looking to advance their career, and place them with a prosperous company, ready to strengthen its team. Just like with any other kind of relationship, there are plenty of factors involved, such as location, benefits, and company culture. It’s my job to ensure that both parties stand to benefit from the new arrangement, then introduce them and watch the magic happen.
