Moon
As the Earth’s only natural satellite, the moon takes 27.3 days to complete its orbit and 29.5 days to complete its waxing and waning cycle. It also provides us with a secondary light source, controls the tides, and has 3 million more square miles of area than the continent of Africa.
Throughout history, the moon has played a large part in the belief systems of many different cultures. Nearly every mythology has its own god or goddess of the moon. The most famous is Artemis of the Greek pantheon, but there is also Sin of the Mesopotamians, Khonsu of the Egyptians, Chandra of the Hindu, and countless more.
Interestingly, the moon has a locked rotation, which means the same side always points toward Earth. In a lot of ways, this is how management has to be, always wearing a smile and putting their best foot forward.
When you are a leader, you are responsible for bringing the best performance possible out of your employees. You act as both a guide and mentor as you help your team reach their goals and the company’s goals. That being said, don’t forget about the importance of company culture. Organizations with a bad culture create an environment of hostility where everyone looks out only for themselves instead of working together.
